Boogie School

This is my homeschooling blog. This blog is mainly a site to capture info that I've found on the net. Our actual curriculum and such won't be found here. If you have questions, feel free to ask me.

Meeting people

It all happpened when I went to get little M from school today.
Another woman that has her youngest in with M at nursery school is homeschooling 2 of her older kids.
We talked for a while about it but not too much because the kids got let loose soon after.

I had to say its encouraging to see one of her older daughters with her and she has piercings and a cute haircut and all with being a smart kid with a great attitude. Now piercing aren't all that is important but its an indication that the kid is a "kid".

I think I worry like anyone else about M being a well adjusted kid. Sometimes homeschool kids seem so withdrawn but I plan to have M involved in things.

I was thinking on my way home today that if I homeschool M that she will have MORE time available for social things. She could do dance AND tumbling. She could choose hockey, t-ball, karate, or a million other activities. If she was doing full days in Kindergarten and then coming home to do homework, she wouldn't be able to do it all.

This is looking good.

Homeschooling

My daughter is currently in Nursery School and we have been seriously considering homeschooling her starting next year. It seemslike the best option for us. I'm starting to research all the ins and outs of this and I wanted a place to keep all the info.

If any one else is in a similar situation, maybe this blog will be able to help them on thier journey as well.

I have to say, the more I look into the programs and info available, the more "jazzed" I am to be thinking of doing this with our daughter.
